Pattern Description

When I was first starting my career in knitwear design, I loved taking traditional lace shawl patterns from the early twentieth century and working them in heavier, wooly yarns to create blankets that amped up the sculptural qualities of the fabric. Permafrost was designed with this idea in mind, employing sinewy plant-like stitch patterns that unfurl as you knit.
